Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This policy explains how Aube ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you use the Aube mobile app and this website. We build Aube around privacy by default: analytics are off until you opt in, crash reporting is anonymous by default, and your practice history is visible only to you.
Data we collect
- Account information — your email address and name, used to create and secure your account.
- Wellbeing content — your meditation and routine session history, and your practice preferences. This content is private to your account and is never visible to other users.
- Device identifiers — identifiers of the Aube device you pair over Bluetooth, used to connect your device to your account.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — collected anonymously by default to keep the app reliable. Detailed crash reporting is linked to your account only if you opt in.
- Analytics — usage analytics are disabled by default and collected only after you give explicit consent in the app's privacy settings. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We do not collect your location. The app requests Bluetooth-related permissions solely to discover and connect to your Aube device.
How we use your data
- To provide the Aube service — your account, your content, and your paired device (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep the app stable and fix crashes (our legitimate interest, using anonymous data by default).
- To understand how the app is used and improve it — only with your consent.
Where your data lives
Aube runs on Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Google processes data on our behalf as a data processor — including authentication, database, crash reporting and (if you consent) analytics. All data is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties beyond the processors that run our service.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the data associated with it — see deleting your account. Anonymous crash and diagnostic data that is not linked to your identity may be retained by our processors for their standard retention periods.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@aubeworld.com. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see how to delete your account.
Children
Aube is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
